Bout of Books Read-A-Thon Progress Post

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon
Hey everyone!! Rather than post a million posts about this read-a-thon, I am going to keep this one post and update date it each day! Its only 2:30pm on the first 7 days and I've already read one entire book, cover to cover. I would probably have read more but sadly, I have to take care of dogs too! I should be able to read close to one more today!! WOOHOO!!!

Monday Challenge Question:

“What do you like best about readathons? Do you have any readathon traditions or rituals? If this is your first readathon, what do you like so far? Discuss away!"

What do I like about readathons? It gives me an excuse to do nothing but read!!!! I don't have any traditions or rituals (yet!) because this is in fact my first one. What I like most so far is that I have goals set and I may actually be able to achieve them which is nice because lately I have been slacking when it comes to reading!!

Tuesday Challenge:

PART ONE: Share your most shocking, embarrassing or funny book related story.

All right, it's nothing spectacular but my old co-workers and I would always go out to the movies and we used to bring a book to read while we would wait. One night we left work and were about an hour early for the movie so one of my co-workers and I both whipped out a book. Ironically enough, we were both reading Anita Blake novels at the time. At this point, I knew that it wasn't really a smart idea to read them in public but I started reading anyway. About 10 pages in I was bright red and embarassed for reading the content in public and I said something to my co-workers and we all laughed. It was pretty funny.

PART TWO: Answer all of these "this or that" questions.

Physical book or eBook?
This is a tough one, I swore by physical books and didn't want an e-reader. Now that I have a NOOK color, I almost hate picking up a physical book because I can't read in the dark!!

Paperback or Hardcover?
Paperback because they are easier to hold but hardcovers are prettier on my shelves.

Reality or Make-believe?
A little bit of both!

Adult or Young-Adult?
Young adult but I do like adult.

Dog ears or Bookmarks?
If anything, bookmarks. I read so fast that I normally just remember the page I'm on though.

Breaking the spine or Barely open the book?
Have to open the book so breaking the spine, sadly.

Tea or Coffee?
Coffee!

Reading in bed or On the couch?
I enjoy both!

Series or Standalone?
Series because if I fall in love with the characters, I want more!

Original or TV Adaptation?
Original!

Defy motion sickness or Audiobooks?
Defy motion sickness!!!!

Author crushes or Who-was-that-guy-again?
This question just confuses me.. hah
Interview or Guest post?
Interview usually.. unless it's a kick butt guest post!

Wednesday Challenge:
Your Challenge is to choose any book cover and Re-Title it! You can choose anything you like and go the serious or humorous route!

My new title is: Naughty Teacher's Pet

Ok.. so I suck at this challenge.. that is a given but it was fun trying to pick out which book to re-title!!!
