Madison Daniels has worshipped her brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't stop bickering.
Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first…
My Thoughts:
A pen name has not made Jen's writing any less amazing. Jennifer L. Armentrout is writing as J. Lynn for her adult books and let me tell you, this woman can certainly write an adult book. HOT doesn't even begin to describe it. My only problem with it is that it was so short! She has this amazing way of making you fall in love with her characters and leaves you wanting more. There was no cliffhanger so I'm sad that that may be it for these characters. I'm currently waiting for the next group to fall head over heels with!
Ohhhh the Gamble brothers. Where do I even begin? The book focuses mostly on Chase but the others seem quite swoon worthy as well. There is never a shortage of gorgeous men in the world of Jennifer but I am certainly not complaining!
And of course, there's Maddie. She has some spunk. Then again, what lead female in any of Jennifer's books lack spunk? Oh that's right.. none of them. Generally I would get tired of seeing the same type of character over and over again but I can't help but love each and every one of them.
If you like a light read of romance, this is definitely a book you need to pick up! And don't forget to keep your eyes open for her next adult release, Unchained which comes out on October 12, 2012!
4 out of 5 stars!
